Who this applies to

This policy applies to visitors of our website, members of our Discord community, and players who connect to our Grand Theft Auto V roleplay server or linked platforms.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may process:

• Account and identity data: Discord user ID, username, avatar, roles, and messages you send in channels we operate; in-game identifiers (such as license or account IDs) required by the server platform.
• Technical and security data: IP address, approximate region, device and browser type, timestamps, and server logs used to protect the community, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot.
• Voice and gameplay data: voice communications routed through the game or approved integrations, and in-character actions logged by server systems as needed for moderation and integrity.
• Support and communications: information you send us by email or tickets (for example support@byanymeansrp.org).
• Store purchases: if you use our Tebex or similar storefront, payment processing is handled by the payment provider; we may receive limited transaction metadata (such as package purchased and time) but not your full card number.

How we use information

We use the information above to:

• Provide, host, and secure the Services;
• Verify eligibility, enforce our rules, and moderate content;
• Detect, investigate, and prevent cheating, harassment, fraud, or illegal activity;
• Communicate important notices about the community or policy changes;
• Improve stability and performance of our website and server infrastructure.

We do not sell your personal information.

Legal bases (EEA and UK visitors)

If applicable law requires a “legal basis”, we rely on: contract (providing the Services you asked to use), legitimate interests (keeping the community safe and improving the Services, balanced against your rights), legal obligation, and, where required, consent (for example for optional marketing cookies if we use them).

• Infrastructure and platform providers that host our website, game server, or databases;
• Discord, Cfx.re / FiveM, Tebex, and other vendors strictly as needed to operate the Services;

These recipients may process data under their own policies where they act as independent controllers.

Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including dispute resolution, safety, and legal compliance. Moderation records and security logs may be kept for a limited period consistent with community safety.

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information. No online service is completely secure; please use unique passwords and enable platform security features where available.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing, or to object or port data. Age requirement

Our Services are intended for players who meet the age requirements stated in our community rules (currently 17+ aligned with GTA V’s ESRB rating). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

International transfers

We may process data in the United States or other countries where we or our vendors operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated policy.
